Job summary

RTL Group Ltd. seeks an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead the electrical delivery of a major data centre project in Germany. You will oversee mobilisation through installation, testing, commissioning and handover, ensuring safety, on-time delivery, budget control and quality conformance.

You will coordinate with main contractor, client and consultants, manage labour and subcontractors, and monitor progress, costs and QA processes to ensure successful project close-out.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager on large commercial, industrial or mission-critical projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of LV distribution, containment, power and lighting systems. HV experience would be an advantage.
• A recognised electrical qualification, such as NVQ Level 3, JIB Approved Electrician or equivalent.
• SMSTS or an equivalent site management qualification, alongside a valid health and safety certification.
• A proven track record of managing project programmes, budgets, resources and subcontractor packages.
• Knowledge of IEC/EN 60364, DIN VDE standards or relevant German electrical installation regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills, with the confidence to liaise directly with clients, main contractors and senior stakeholders.
• The flexibility and commitment to work in Germany for the duration of the project, with the legal right to work in Germany or eligibility to obtain the necessary authorisation.
• Previous data centre experience, which would be a significant advantage.

Responsibilities

• Managing and overseeing all electrical aspects of the project from start to completion and handover.
• Planning, coordinating and monitoring electrical installation activities to ensure progress against the project programme.
• Managing site supervisors, direct labour and subcontractors, ensuring appropriate workforce levels are maintained throughout the project.
• Liaising with the main contractor, client, consultants and other trades, including attending project and progress meetings.
• Monitoring project progress, key milestones and deadlines, providing regular updates and reports to senior management and the client.
• Managing quality assurance processes, including inspection and test plans (ITPs), quality inspections, snagging and project close-out.
• Controlling project costs, labour resources, material procurement and equipment lead times.
• Identifying and managing variations, change control procedures and early warning notices.
• Reviewing electrical drawings, specifications, RFIs and technical submittals to ensure compliance and coordination.
• Coordinating electrical testing, commissioning and Integrated Systems Testing (IST) alongside the commissioning team.
• Oversight of handover documentation, including test certificates, as-built drawings and O&M manuals.
• Ensuring all electrical installations meet project specifications, relevant standards and quality requirements.
• Maintaining high health and safety standards, reviewing RAMS and ensuring compliance with applicable German and EU regulations.

Electrical Project Manager – Data Centre Project (Germany)

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Project Manager to take full responsibility for the electrical delivery of a major data centre project in Germany. You will oversee all electrical works from initial mobilisation through installation, testing, commissioning and final handover, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

About You

We are looking for a confident and driven Electrical Project Manager with a strong background in managing large-scale electrical installations.

Ideally, you will have:

• Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager on large commercial, industrial or mission-critical projects.
