Job Responsibilities:
- Design and Development: Design electrical systems, circuits, and components for devices and infrastructure. Use tools like MATLAB, AutoCAD Electrical, and PSpice for simulations and design. Create schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Testing and Troubleshooting: Conduct tests to evaluate system performance, safety, and reliability. Diagnose and solve technical issues in hardware and electrical systems. Implement improvements based on test results and feedback.
- Project Management: Plan and manage electrical projects from concept to completion. Estimate material costs, labor requirements, and timelines. Ensure projects meet deadlines, budgets, and safety standards.
- Installation and Maintenance: Oversee the installation of electrical systems and equipment. Develop maintenance schedules and procedures to prevent downtime. Inspect installations to ensure compliance with codes and standards.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure electrical designs adhere to local and international standards (e.g., NEC, IEEE). Conduct risk assessments and implement safety protocols. Work closely with regulatory bodies to obtain permits and approvals.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, software developers, and project managers. Communicate technical information clearly to stakeholders and clients. Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external use.
- Innovation and Research: Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends (e.g., renewable energy, IoT). Research and develop energy-efficient and sustainable solutions. Participate in prototype development and patent filings when applicable.
