Job summary

G2 Recruitment seeks an Electrical Engineer to join a data centre project in Frankfurt, delivering design, installation and commissioning of critical electrical systems.

The role involves coordinating with consultants and site teams, reviewing electrical documentation, and supporting testing and handover to meet Tier III/Tier IV standards.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering.
• Proven experience delivering electrical systems on data centre, mission critical or large-scale construction projects.
• Knowledge of Tier III/Tier IV environments and redundancy concepts (N+1, 2N).
• Experience supporting commissioning and integrated systems testing.

Responsibilities

• Support electrical packages across mission critical infra, including LV/MV distribution, switchgear, transformers and UPS.
• Coordinate with design consultants, construction teams and client stakeholders to ensure on-schedule delivery.
• Review technical docs: single-line diagrams, load studies, protection coordination, cable calculations.
• Participate in testing, commissioning and handover, ensuring compliance with project standards.

Electrical Engineer - Data Centre Project

Frankfurt, Germany | 12-Month Contract | Competitive Rate

G2 are representing a leading engineering contractor delivering a data centre development in Frankfurt. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a project team at the forefront of the mission critical sector, supporting the design, installation and commissioning of complex electrical systems that underpin some of the world's most advanced digital infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Support the delivery of electrical packages across mission critical infrastructure, including LV/MV power distribution, switchgear, transformers, UPS systems and backup generation.
• Coordinate with design consultants, construction teams and client stakeholders to ensure electrical systems are delivered safely, on schedule and to specification.
• Review and manage technical documentation including single-line diagrams, load studies, protection coordination, cable calculations and commissioning procedures.
• Participate in testing, commissioning and handover activities, ensuring compliance with project standards and operational requirements.

To be considered for this application you must have the following experience:

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering.
• Proven experience delivering electrical systems on data centre, mission critical, pharmaceutical, industrial or large-scale construction projects.
• Strong understanding of critical power infrastructure, including LV/MV distribution, UPS, switchgear, generators and electrical protection systems.
• Previous experience working on hyperscale or colocation data centre projects.
• Knowledge of Tier III/Tier IV environments, redundancy concepts (N+1, 2N) and mission critical electrical design principles.
• Experience supporting commissioning and integrated systems testing activities.
