Qualifikationen

Are you motivated by our mission of saving and sustaining lives? We are seeking an EHS&S Manager (m / f / d) for our pharmaceutical production site in Bielefeld. This site specializes in manufacturing highly potent, non-sterile oncology drugs, and has a rich history dating back to the 1920s. Baxter Bielefeld is a global leader in cytotoxic drug production, with around 50 dedicated employees, playing a crucial role in producing life-saving oncology medications.

What you'll be doing :

• Performing legal tasks as the representative for immission control (§ 54 BImSchG), water protection (§ 65 WHG), and waste (§ 60 KrWG)
• Handling communication with authorities
• Preparing permit applications in accordance with BImSchG
• Providing advice on environmental law and technical issues
• Carrying out duties of the Occupational Safety Specialist under the Occupational Safety Act
• Managing occupational health and safety tasks, including supervising safety officers
• Supervising the management system aligned with ISO 14001, 45001, and 50001 standards
• Reporting on EHS metrics and implementing EHS Group requirements
• Organizing emergency management procedures
• Planning industrial hygiene measurements, especially for handling potent substances (hazardous substances)
• Sampling, defining test methods, and evaluating measurement results for the Industrial Hygiene Program
• Supporting risk assessments and root cause analyses for safety and environmental incidents

Who you are :

• Completed studies in environmental engineering, process engineering, supply/disposal technology, safety engineering, chemical engineering, or related fields
• Reliable knowledge of explosion protection (Ex directives)
• Completed recognized courses for immission control officers, water protection officers, and waste officers are desirable
• Training as an occupational safety specialist (recognized by BG RCI)
• Strong knowledge of ISO 14001, 45001, and 50001 standards
• Independent, reliable, and responsible work ethic
• Proficient in written and spoken German and English
