Candidates should have a degree in engineering or environmental science and over 7 years of relevant experience, with excellent communication skills in both German and English.

Qualifikationen

  • Over 7 years of EHS program development and leadership experience.
  • Certifications such as NEBOSH, RAB 30, GWO or relevant HVDC offshore project certifications.
  • Strong knowledge of German and European EHS regulations.

Aufgaben

  • Lead and manage EHS aspects for HVDC Projects in Germany.
  • Support Projects organization across different execution scopes.
  • Drive implementation of EHS expectations within the region.

Job Description

Responsible for leading and managing the environmental, health and safety (EHS) aspects in the Business line for HVDC Projects located in Germany, with a focus on construction and commissioning activities.

Ability to support Projects organization on different execution scopes, such as Turnkey projects, consortium partner EPC, etc., from Civil Work to end commissioning for Onshore and offshore activities for a GRID business.

  • Main Point of Contact in the Country, reporting to the Regional EHS Leader for Central Europe.
  • Understand regulatory changes and trends, forecast business impacts.
  • Drive implementation of GE and regulatory EHS expectations within his/her region, including customer sites and workshops as needed.
  • Support the Regional EHS Leader in EHS matters.

Additional responsibilities include hiring and training EHS teams across multiple countries, developing relationships with operational teams, setting up EHS operating rhythms, supporting regional initiatives, coordinating training, incident investigations, reporting, ensuring compliance, and conducting audits.

Requirements

Degree in engineering, environmental science, safety management, or related EHS discipline. Certifications such as NEBOSH, RAB 30, GWO, or relevant HVDC offshore project certifications are required. Graduate degree preferred.

Over 7 years of EHS program development and leadership experience in sectors like Electric Power, offshore/onshore industries, etc.

Strong knowledge of German and European EHS regulations, environmental permits, and management systems like ISO 14001, ISO 45001.

Proven ability to lead and influence teams, excellent communication skills in German and English, and willingness to travel within Germany.
