Job description:PostDoc in surface mass balance modeling (f/m/d)
Background
The Earth System Complexity group at AWI investigates the role of large-scale tipping elements likethe ice sheets and ocean circulation in the Earth system. Within the ERC-funded project Forecasting climate surprises on longer timescales (FORCLIMA), you will support this effort by improving the representation of the snowpack and the surface mass balance of the ice sheets within a fast Earth System model (fESM) and performing long timescale ensemble simulations.
