Job Description

• Provide overarching certification vision and alignment within the CVE community, covering internal and external CVEs for composite structures and related topics.
• Independently verify that the Type Design complies with applicable certification basis, environmental standards, and operational requirements for all structural and related aspects.
• Verify configuration of test articles and test setup before conducting tests relevant to compliance demonstration.
• Support certification and ensure product safety through interactions with authorities such as EASA and other validating agencies.

Additionally:

• Coordinate and manage other nominated CVEs.
• Verify (typically aircraft-level) documents that involve multiple CVE disciplines to ensure cross-functional compliance.

Qualifications

• Sound technical education (Dipl.-Ing., Technician, certified master craftsman, or comparable qualification).
• Minimum 6 years of experience in the aviation industry, preferably in multiple disciplines and at aircraft integration level as a Design Engineer or CVE, with experience in aircraft design processes.
• Knowledge of aviation procedures, especially related to EASA Part 21 design organizations.
• Understanding of certification requirements, certification programs, and related processes.
• Experience interpreting Certification Specifications.
• Proficiency in generating and verifying compliance documentation.
• Deep technical knowledge of aircraft structures and related subjects.
• Knowledge of construction methods for composite and metal materials, as well as material qualification processes.
