Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems/Network Engineer to support our client’s infrastructure and operational needs. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise in enterprise networking and systems, with hands-on experience across multiple technologies including CMDB, encryption, firewalls, and end-to-end monitoring. This role is fully remote but requires candidates to be based in the EU and fluent in both German and English.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintain and optimize enterprise network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
2. Manage and maintain firewall configurations and security policies.
3. Administer and support CMDB systems and ensure data accuracy across environments.
4. Implement and manage encryption standards for secured data transmission.
5. Monitor systems end-to-end (E2E) to proactively identify and resolve performance or availability issues.
6. Support and maintain DNS, Linux-based systems, and SFTP services.
7. Configure and maintain MPLS network connections.
8. Ensure proper implementation of Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) across systems.
9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support system upgrades, patches, and lifecycle management.
10. Participate in incident response and problem resolution activities.
11. Work with ICAP-based solutions (e.g., for DLP or proxy integrations).
