The company is a global leading manufacturer of electron microscopes and analytical instruments. Their portfolio covers scanning electron microscopes (SEM), transmission electron microscopes (TEM), scanning probe microscopes (SPM), mass spectrometers and NMR spectrometers. With a market leading presence, they now have an exciting opportunity to join their team as a Field Service Engineer to cover Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

The Role

Your primary responsibility is the installation, preventative maintenance and repairs of their instrumentation and software.

This position is home based with regular travel to customers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

There products are used by customers in the scientific, medical, semiconductor and industrial sectors.

Working alongside the sales, support and service team in Europe.

Full training is given on the instruments.

The Requirements

A degree / certification in a scientific or engineering field is beneficial; Chemical Engineering, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physics, Materials Science, Biochemistry, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Biomedical Engineering; or related field.

Experience in reading circuit diagrams in the field of electronics is essential.

Languages : Professional English and German is essential.

Comfortable regular travel and overnight stays.

Highly motivated and excellent communication skills are essential.
