Job Description:

Primobius is a joint venture between Australian stock exchange-listed Neometals Ltd. and German plant engineering and technology firm SMS group GmbH. Primobius specializes in sustainable recovery of lithium, nickel, cobalt, and other materials from end-of-life or defective lithium-ion batteries (LiBs) from electric vehicles and consumer electronics. The recovered materials are directly usable in new battery production, supporting a circular economy and reducing waste and resource dependence.

We are seeking a Product Manager at Primobius GmbH in the Düsseldorf area (NRW) to oversee the technical development and engineering of our Li-Battery Recycling Products, in collaboration with various departments. Your responsibilities will include:

• Defining product vision, goals, and strategy, and communicating these to stakeholders
• Creating, maintaining, and prioritizing the product development backlog
• Supporting engineering, supply chain, and site support for projects
• Coordinating engineering activities
• Assisting Business Development and Sales in evaluating innovations and benchmarking competitors
• Driving innovations from concept to industrialized solutions in collaboration with R&D and project management
• Promoting standardization to reduce project costs and operational expenses

Qualifications and Skills:

Successful candidates will have an engineering degree in mechanical and/or process engineering, with:

• Strong conceptual and analytical skills
• Understanding of recycling equipment and technologies (preferred)
• Experience in engineering or product management roles, ideally in recycling or environmental sectors
• Effective prioritization and multitasking abilities
• Proficiency in German and English (verbal and written)
• High social competence, resilience, and willingness to travel
