Job Description:

We are a medium-sized IT company based in Karlsruhe, Germany, specializing in tailored solutions for global air traffic control authorities. Our systems operate at various flight control centers and airports worldwide, contributing to flight security. As part of the Frequentis group in Vienna, Austria, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Work on operating system and infrastructure topics, with knowledge of networks and Linux (RHEL) as prerequisites.
  2. Analyze requirements and develop concepts to ensure software complies with security and safety standards.
  3. Mentor and support junior team members in their development.
  4. Design, implement, and document new software features.
Qualifications:
  1. Strong teamwork and communication skills in German and English.
  2. Experience with system security and Python testing frameworks is advantageous.
  3. Proficiency with Ansible, Git, Docker, Jenkins, Blackduck, and CI/CD pipelines.
  4. Deep knowledge of Linux environments, especially RHEL and SELinux.
  5. Excellent web development skills using Python 3, Flask, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS.
  6. Analytical skills to understand and develop complex architectures.
  7. Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in frontend, backend, and testing development areas.
  8. Degree in computer science, mathematics, or a related field.
