Overview

We are currently seeking a full-time Project Engineer - Structural to join our bridge design team in our Quad Cities (Bettendorf) IA office. Hybrid and flexible work arrangements are available based upon experience.

This position will partner with our experienced team of bridge designers to provide structural design expertise on state and local bridge projects in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa. Our growing team includes experienced and graduate transportation staff in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa, providing you with technical support as well as mentorship for your success.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Prepare structural design calculations for bridges and other transportation structures
  • Provide mentorship to graduate engineers
  • Perform field investigations to evaluate structural conditions, and develop repair alternatives
  • Communicate with clients, agencies, and the public
  • Business development related to bridge infrastructure with current and future clients
Qualifications

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required with an emphasis in structures preferred
  • 4+ years of prior bridge design experience required
  • PE license in Wisconsin, Minnesota, or Iowa required
  • AutoCAD and/or MicroStation proficiency preferred
  • The ideal candidate will have experience coordinating with Departments of Transportation
  • Previous experience with client relationships preferred
  • Must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills as well as solid leadership and collaboration skills
  • This position requires you to have authorization to work in the United States for any employer. We will not provide sponsorship for this position.

Salary

The salary for this position ranges from $86,900 to $139,100 per year commensurate with experience. Higher compensation within this range will be paid to candidates with significant experience and exceptional qualifications.
