Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent plus industry experience, or extensive industry experience with college coursework.

Must meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements, including passing the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire and biennially thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in critical environment infrastructure (UPS, generators, AHUs) or physical IT infrastructure (servers, SANs, networking).
  • Technical degree in relevant fields (Computer Science, Math, Engineering).
  • Certifications such as CompTIA, Microsoft, PMP, ITIL, CCDC, etc.
  • Experience with building cooling, electrical, mechanical, and life safety systems.
  • Experience with electrical power monitoring systems, building automation systems, and project management.
  • Degrees in engineering or trades related to electrical or mechanical systems.
  • Experience managing large-scale projects.
Responsibilities

Data Center Operations / Service Delivery:

  • Build strong customer relationships.
  • Manage daily operations and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment in data centers, utilizing CMMS, monitoring performance, and ensuring standards are met.
  • Ensure optimal operation of safety and operational equipment.
  • Act as escalation point for facilities issues, assist technicians, and provide design input.
  • Manage small-to-medium projects from start to finish.
  • Report on operational KPIs, standards, and policies.
  • Lead cost and energy efficiency initiatives.
  • Identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.
  • Share best practices, mentor others, and promote safety and compliance culture.
  • Lead through change, embody Microsoft values, and remove barriers to agility.
