With your exceptional interdisciplinary skills, you apply your knowledge of developing technical and user-friendly products on a strategic level. With a team of dedicated space and software engineers as well as our product owner and marketing manager, you are responsible for executing our product strategy on a global scale. You enable us to offer customer-oriented and profitable products that are setting new market standards. Thereby, you rely on your past experience in developing SaaS products or platforms in a technological oriented environment, ideally in start-ups.
Your tasks and responsibilities
Translating OKAPI’s business strategy into a unique product strategy
Planning and carrying out product launches together with multiple departments
Analyzing customer segments and profiles and conducting customer discovery
Managing product profitability and commercial success – own the business case
Providing insight to stakeholders on the product and market (including insights on key differentiators and messages)
Writing high-level product requirements
Working closely together with the product owner and marketing manager as well as other stakeholders
Your profile
You are located in the European Economic Area and have a valid working permit. Ideally you are located in Germany, close to Brunswick.
Minimum of 5 years experience as a senior product manager/Head of Product/CPO or in a similar role
Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products (not necessarily in the space sector
(Preferably interdisciplinary) Master’s degree in industrial engineering or business informatics. Otherwise MBA, or Master’s degree in product management or software development
Analytical & strategic thinking
Excellent communication skills towards different departments and customers in English
Excellent teamwork skills across different departments and proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
Work experience in an agile environment or start-up
Prior experience as product manager in software development
Prior experience in the space sector
