Barilla Deutschland GmbH wants to recruit a Finance Junior Analyst within the Barilla Germany organization based in Cologne. In this position you will be responsible for Switzerland and will report to the Finance Manager Switzerland.

If you have a passion for pasta and crispbread, want to work close to the business and have a direct impact on it, than this is the right position for you! As the Finance Senior Analyst you are responsible for accurate, complete and timely P&L figures for the closure, forecast and budget period as well as preparation and providing business calculations on customer and product level as a basis of decision making for the management. Moreover, you will plan and control the sales conditions for Switzerland.

Key Accountabilities

  • Monitoring & Analyzing the cost structures (TTM), including but not limited to:
    • Management customer conditions incl. recording in SAP R/3
    • Settlement of invoices for Off -Invoice rebates
    • Reconciliation of conditions in SAP R/3 with reported conditions (BPC)
    • Monitoring the outstanding settlements and contacting the customers in case of payment delays or payment differences
  • Timely implementation of budget simulations and forecasts of the P&L in cooperation with the key account management as well as trade and consumer marketing
  • Provide support concerning company’s forecasts throughout the year including analysis of the variances
  • Ensuring a precise, complete and accurate month-end closing for our Swiss office in compliance with the internal and external reporting guidelines
  • Ad-hoc reports and analysis for local & HQ departments
  • Ensure accurate, complete and correct monthly closure figures for Switzerland by driving the cost center responsible to steer the budget and stick to the internal accounting rules (building accruals, posting SES).
Your Profile

  • You have a minimum of two years of experience in a Finance or Controlling role
  • Your analytical and organizational skills distinguish you as well as your enthusiasm and ability to work in a team
  • Your MS Office skills are exceptional and you are advanced in Excel, SAP knowledge is of advantage
  • You have the ability of converting complex financial findings into common language and are accustomed to communicating cross-culturally
  • You have a genuine interest for problem solving and numbers
  • Excellent communication skills are one of your strengths and you are fluent in German and English, a third language is considered a plus
  • We believe that you are goal oriented person, always searching for ways to improve current best practice
