In this context, we are looking for a VIE Engineering Support (f/m/d) based at our offices in Berlin, Germany, for 24 months.

Your mission :

Reporting to the Domain Leader Certification & Authorization, you will support the project and tender teams in project and engineering activities such as:

Documentation :

• Support to Alstom documentation activities: technical document translation, preparation of templates

System Design

• Analysis of specifications
• Presentation of the customer need to the competence center in Belgium
• Definition of required evolutions of Alstom products
• Presentation of the Alstom solution to the customer
• Formalization of the results in a technical specification
• Analysis and monitoring of failures during operation

Validation, Certification, and Authorization

• Definition of test plan, organization of test sessions, redaction of test reports
• Analysis of homologation requirements
• Review of assessments

Administration :

Support to the Project and Engineering team:

• Administrative and technical support to the Engineering Director
• Schedule management, communication, and follow-up tasks
• Contributing creative ideas and innovative solutions to enhance team productivity and project outcomes
• Research on rail signaling solutions, software, and technical tools, providing well-informed recommendations
• Meeting coordination and stakeholder communication

Your profile :

• Master's degree in Engineering or similar, with good industrial understanding, and initial experience in an international industrial environment
• Interest in railway products, good communication skills, diplomacy, tenacity, open-mindedness for adapting to changing project environments
• Autonomy, team spirit, organizational skills, management capabilities, and business sense
• Proficiency in English and German; French is an asset
• Excellent MS Office skills
• Team player, capable of working in an international and multicultural environment
• Strong customer service orientation

Details about the Volunteers for International Experience (VIE) program :

• Open to EU citizens aged 18-28 who have fulfilled military service obligations
• Assignments are abroad, different from the applicant's home country
• Assignments last from 6 to 24 months, renewable once, up to 24 months total
• Compensation is non-taxable, linked to the cost of living index, set by BusinessFrance

International social protection is provided; 2.5 days of holiday per month.
