We offer a unique opportunity to combine your passion for technology with meaningful work on socially relevant topics. Join our international team of over 130 data scientists and engineers, where you'll benefit from deep expertise while also contributing your own experience. You will have the opportunity to consult our business stakeholders on technical matters and their feasibility, as well as directly implementing state-of-the-art machine learning solutions. We leverage methodologies including NLP, computer vision, forecasting, optimization, and more, across various applications. With a focus on cutting-edge resources and platforms (Azure, AWS, Databricks, OpenAI, among others), we provide an optimal technical infrastructure, along with free training and certification opportunities.

Your Role – meaningful & rewarding

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable and efficient data models and data warehousing solutions to support business intelligence and analytics needs.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
• Develop and maintain automated data pipelines using Python to ensure accurate and timely data flow.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists and analysts, to ensure data is structured and available for analysis and reporting.
• Evaluate emerging data technologies to efficiently integrate state-of-the-art data solutions and analytical modules into cloud environments.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data engineering, AI, and technology trends to drive innovation.
  
  
  

Your Profile – authentic & open-minded

Required:

• Strong experience with SQL and data modeling, especially in data warehousing and ETL processes.
• Excellent Python programming skills, with experience in building and automating data pipelines.
• Solid understanding of data engineering best practices, including data quality, scalability, and performance optimization.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Proficiency in German (written and spoken) to collaborate effectively with German-speaking teams.

Desired:

• Experience with Snowflake or Databricks for cloud data storage and processing.
• Familiarity with Azure Data Factory (ADF) for building and automating data workflows.
• Experience with dbt (Data Build Tool) for data transformation and modeling.
• Experience with orchestration tools like Apache Airflow for managing complex workflows.
• Experience with Git for version control and collaboration.
• An initial interest or experience in Data Science.
