Junior Service Project Engineering Manager (f/m/d) – jr. PrEM

Could you be the full-time Junior Service Project Engineering Manager (f/m/d) in Siegen? We’re looking for someone to fill this role on a fixed-term contract for 24 months.

Your Future Role

Our Siegen site is an international competence center for bogies. 800 colleagues develop, manufacture, test, and repair bogies for global rail traffic, ensuring stability and comfort on the tracks. Our corporate functions support and continuously improve the performance of our sites. You’ll report to Grzegorz Lasko and work alongside a dedicated and enthusiastic team.

Responsibilities:
  • Address various technical service topics in the bogie and drives area
  • Propose technical solutions for diverse problems
  • Define assembly plans and analyze possible technical non-conformities
  • Participate in tests, test drives, and test definitions, including acceleration, noise, and strain measurements
  • Develop new testing and problem-solving methods
  • Define test programs and specifications with external and internal partners
  • Communicate with customers and technical authorities
  • Conduct independent research on various technical topics related to service issues
  • Create, test, and approve drawings, parts lists, and assembly and repair instructions; approve project-related technical reports and test specifications, consulting specialists as needed
  • Support manufacturing processes
  • Lead and provide technical instruction to the design team, including internal and external members
  • Prepare presentations for internal and customer technical decision-making
Qualifications and Skills

We value passion and attitude over experience. While you don’t need every skill listed, the following will help you succeed:

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Technical School degree
  • Proficiency in reading and creating technical drawings
  • Good knowledge of machine tolerances and material properties, including welding, machining, and casting
  • Initial experience or interest in complex mechanical systems and rail vehicles
  • Understanding of machine construction, mechanics, and physics
  • Excellent German and English skills, both written and spoken
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Knowledge of Catia or other 3D software is an advantage
