About the role

We are looking for a hands-on and detail-oriented Manager, DC Operations to oversee day-to-day operations within a third-party distribution center (3PL), supporting both Business-to-Business (B2B) and Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) fulfillment. This role will focus on managing inbound receipts, inventory storage, order fulfillment, and operational flow to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has excellent communication skills, and brings a strong background in warehouse operations, inventory management, and 3PL oversight. Experience in both B2B and D2C operations is a must.

Key Responsibilities

1. Oversee day-to-day distribution center activities including inbound receiving, storage, replenishment, and outbound fulfillment.
2. Ensure operational processes are followed consistently across B2B and D2C channels to meet SLAs, quality standards, and customer expectations.
3. Monitor workflow, labor allocation, and inventory movement within the 3PL facility.

3PL Oversight

1. Serve as the primary operational liaison between internal teams and the 3PL provider.
2. Conduct regular performance reviews and meetings with 3PL partners to ensure alignment on service levels, process improvements, and issue resolution.
3. Address and resolve daily operational challenges, escalations, or inventory discrepancies.

Inventory Accuracy & Process Adherence

1. Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counts, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
2. Partner with 3PL to implement and maintain proper inventory control practices.
3. Support ongoing improvements in WMS accuracy, SKU slotting, and replenishment processes.
4. Manage order processing and shipping timelines to ensure on-time delivery for wholesale (B2B) and e-commerce (D2C) customers.
5. Support special handling requirements, promotional or seasonal volume spikes, and new product launches.

Reporting & Metrics

1. Monitor and report on key operational KPIs (e.g., receiving timeliness, order accuracy, inventory integrity, shipping performance).
2. Identify trends and provide insights to improve efficiency and service quality.
3. Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce costs, and enhance service through process improvements or system enhancements.
4. Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., logistics, planning, customer service) to implement improvements.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
2. 5+ years of experience in warehouse operations or distribution management, with at least 2 years managing 3PL relationships.
3. Experience in both B2B and D2C fulfillment operations.
4. Working knowledge of warehouse systems (WMS), inventory management practices, and shipping platforms.
5. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt in a dynamic environment.
6. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
7. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and operational reporting tools.

• Travel Required - up to 25%
• Flexible work schedule to accommodate virtual meetings with other regions
