THE OPPORTUNITY

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

• You will have the opportunity to develop the Java and Spring-based application server which drives the web client and the mobile positioning app
• You will support the development of the PostgreSQL/PostGIS database which stores geospatially referenced data
• You will be at the forefront of designing an innovative client-server architecture to bring high-performance point cloud and computer vision to a simple-to-use and interactive web interface
• You will contribute significantly to the implementation of features for digital enrichment of the environment using geospatial SQL, REST, and Angular
• You will play a key role in maintaining and extending our APIs for third-party use, developing interesting API examples, and gathering feedback to improve and extend the API
• You will actively coach and develop your junior colleagues

WHAT WILL HELP YOU SUCCEED IN THE ROLE

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in object-oriented software development
• Profound experience with Java, the Spring framework, and Hibernate or other ORMs
• Expertise in implementing web applications which make heavy use of Angular and TypeScript, knowing both the language and common libraries
• A good understanding of HTML and CSS and how to implement designs in collaboration with UX/UI designers
• A degree in computer science, or similar; or self-taught top-notch coding skills
• Strong cloud experience, preferably with AWS services
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Experience with Linux, C++, and geospatial data, as well as knowledge of 3D graphics in web development, would be an added benefit
