What are you going to do in this role?
As the leader of our Field Service Engineer group, you will manage key technical and operational processes to ensure superior service delivery to our external customers. You will oversee all field service activities, including repair calls, preventative maintenance, installations, and software upgrades.
You will manage a team of Field Service Engineers and third-party service providers in the DACH & BENELUX area. Your responsibilities will include developing and achieving the annual operating plan (AOP), ensuring appropriate staffing levels and territory coverage, and maintaining high customer satisfaction levels through effective metrics. You will also integrate field service activities with business development efforts, manage complex field service projects, and support colleagues with a hands-on approach. Additionally, you will oversee parts procurement and return processes, manage field service inventory levels, and ensure adherence to standard business processes.
This role will be home office based with up to 30% of travel through the DACH-Benelux region.
What do you need to succeed in this role?
To excel in this position, you should have strong experience in technical services (more than 8 years), with at least 2 of those years in a leadership role. Experience in the medical device industry is strongly preferred. Additionally, you should have a solid understanding of aftersales service operations and be comfortable managing P&L responsibilities. Your ability to lead a team, drive process improvements, and maintain high standards of customer satisfaction will be key to your success.
