Company Description

Join our dynamic team at our factory in Rain am Lech, Germany. This site is key to our operations, where you will lead a dedicated team of approximately 180 employees. Major investments have been executed over the past years, and the challenge for the team at Aviko Rain will be to realize the full potential of these investments in terms of output, efficiency, and sustainability. The site manager will be tasked with defining the next steps in the site masterplan to further secure robust upstream and downstream operations in close cooperation with international corporate teams.

Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, you will collaborate closely with various managers, including the production manager, logistics/TPM manager, maintenance manager, quality manager, and SHE-specialist. Additionally, you will have a dotted line relationship with the controller and HR manager.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Build and, where necessary, recruit a winning team: Inspire and motivate a team focused on safety, quality, and performance.
  2. Drive organizational efficiency: Implement and oversee improvements to enhance efficiency.
  3. Develop business plans: Create and align annual business and investment plans with our strategic goals.
  4. Build a safety culture: Cultivate a high-level safety culture and ensure compliance with all guidelines.
  5. Ensure quality and environmental compliance: Implement plans to meet legal and customer requirements.
  6. Manage workforce: Ensure the workforce meets current and future needs.
  7. Communicate strategy: Translate and communicate our strategy to engage and motivate employees.
  8. Stakeholder management: Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including local authorities.
Qualifications
  1. Leadership skills: A proven track record of inspiring and motivating people and teams based on trust and respect.
  2. Change management: A proactive, people-centric approach to change management.
  3. Personal attributes: A good sense of humor, self-awareness, and the ability to listen and accept different opinions. You are cooperative, able to build bridges, and sensitive to different cultures.
  4. Strong personality: An inspiring personality with analytical skills, initiative, and a hands-on approach.
  5. Experience and education: At least five years of experience in a similar role in the food industry, a master’s degree in technology and/or Food/Chemistry industry, and operational excellence skills such as TPM/Lean, Six Sigma, and World Class Manufacturing.
  6. Language skills: Fluent in German and English.
