Business Analyst (German-speaking) – Frankfurt (On-site/Hybrid)

We are looking for an experienced German-speaking Business Analyst for a freelance opportunity in Frankfurt. The ideal candidate will be responsible for bridging the gap between IT and business, ensuring project requirements are well-defined, communicated, and delivered in alignment with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with Product Owner to prioritize and refine backlogs
• Conduct workshops with business and IT teams for scope and requirement clarification
• Perform gap analysis and document current vs. future state
• Lead requirement gathering, documentation, and validation
• Coordinate across teams and manage stakeholders independently
• Assist in test planning, execution, and issue resolution
• Support Project Manager on Non-Functional Requirements (NFR)
• Create and maintain documentation (e.g. system/process documents)
• Write detailed user stories in JIRA and manage Confluence documentation

Requirements:

• Fluent German and English communication (written and verbal)
• Strong experience in Business Analysis within IT environments
• Skilled in Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (JIRA, Confluence)
• Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio
• Excellent stakeholder management and problem-solving skills
• Self-starter with the ability to lead discussions and drive deliverables
• Experience in people management and mentoring is a plus
