    We are recruiting for a medical strategy and operations director who will be the chief of staff for the country medical director (CMD) and the medical leadership team (MLT). They ensure the operational excellence & strategic development of the medical organisation in Germany. The role is responsible for coordination of core projects, medical governance, process improvements and the close collaboration between the medical & commercial organisation.

    In this role you will

    • Lead the medical strategy and operations team, providing direction, support, and development opportunities to team members.
    • Facilitate and foster improvement of cross-departmental business processes and implementation of digital solutions.
    • Responsible for the implementation of governance, risk, and management monitoring framework and regulations, ensure functioning Medical Governance, Risk, and Quality Management System within the LOC Medical Department to uphold the highest quality standards.
    • Drive digitalization of medical organization incl. AI and Omnichannel projects
    • Act as a strategic advisor to the CMD, providing insights and recommendations on key decisions.
    • Oversee daily operations and ensure alignment with the department's strategic goals
    • Coordinate and lead special projects and initiatives as assigned by the CMD
    • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on behalf of the CMD to ensure effective collaboration and partnership.
    • Monitor and follow up on action items for the medical leadership team and commitments to ensure timely completion.
    • Responsible for reporting and proactive performance management including delivery of regular performance review meetings (local/regional).
    • Responsible for medical excellence execution.
    • Responsible person for all local medical archiving topics including management of external archive.

    • Advanced biomedical and/or medical degree.
    • Extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including managing diverse projects and cross-functional collaboration within Medical and other departments at global, regional, and local levels.
    • Must have experience/exposure in medical excellence and/or compliance/governance.
    • Exceptional negotiation skills.
    • Strong networking abilities.
    • Proficiency in both spoken and written English.
    • Excellent analytical skills.
    • Prior experience in communication with senior leaders.
    • Effective team player.
    • Previous experience with local, regional, and global processes and policies, as well as developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
    • Strong financial acumen.
    • Fluency in both German and English.
