At the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Institute of Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering, the Chair of Biomedical Electronics offers, subject to the availability of resources, a position as

Research Associate / PhD Student (m/f/x)

(subject to personal qualification, employees are remunerated according to salary group E 13 TV-L)

starting as soon as possible. The position is limited to 3 years and is governed by the Fixed Term Research Contracts Act (Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz - WissZeitVG). The position offers the opportunity to obtain a doctoral degree (PhD).

Activities and Responsibilities

  • Conduct scientific research in the field of integrated microelectronics with a focus on biomedical applications.
  • Research on biomedical sensor applications, including biomedical sensor interfaces and integrated mechanical strain sensors.
  • Design of analog/mixed-signal integrated circuits (CMOS, low-power, low-noise).
  • Publish research results in international journals and present at international conferences.

Qualification Profile

  • Above-average university degree in microelectronics (analog/mixed-signal design) or related fields.
  • Ability and willingness to work independently and conceptually within a team.
  • Interest in research, scientific work, and interdisciplinary collaboration with partners.
  • Fluency in English, both written and oral.
  • Knowledge in biomedical electronics and sensors is advantageous.
