For temporary employment of 12 months at Rocket Factory Augsburg AG in Augsburg, we are seeking a:

Test Engineer (m/f/d)

We are looking for an exceptionally motivated test engineer (f/m/d) to join our special-projects rocketry team. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage in demanding prototyping efforts supported by major, time-and-cost-critical test campaigns, enabling short-iteration development cycles at a fast pace. You will work in a dedicated, dynamic, and international environment focused on engineering excellence, creating high-performance solutions while minimizing prototyping and production costs.

Your Tasks

1. Test specialized pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems
2. Develop test procedures and plans for testing activities
3. Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
4. Identify the most cost- and time-effective strategies for obtaining relevant test results

Your Qualifications

1. Degree in engineering or a related discipline
2. Ideally, a completed trade in the engineering sector
3. 5+ years of experience
4. Strong understanding of sensor systems
5. Extensive experience with National Instruments equipment or comparable systems
6. Proficiency with LabVIEW software or equivalent
7. Experience with NX or similar CAD software (preferred)
8. Mechanical aptitude for manual metalworking machines and equipment
9. Passion for engineering, demonstrated through extracurricular projects and activities
10. International experience working abroad
11. Quick learner with adaptability to new tools and environments
12. Hands-on experience from electrical or mechanical projects
13. Fluent in English, both spoken and written
14. Self-reliant and well-organized work approach
15. High social intelligence and willingness to assist wherever needed
