Do you thrive on challenges? Join our 3rd Level Server Management Team in the international Cloud Infrastructure division. You will work with innovative technologies, engage in projects, and adopt agile working methods. Your responsibilities include:

  1. Providing L3 operational support for large-scale cloud and virtualized environments, especially for OpenStack (Compute and Storage), NetApp storage solutions, VMware ESXi, and KVM hypervisors.
  2. Supporting Kubernetes microservices, ensuring proper orchestration, scalability, and maintenance of containerized applications.
  3. Managing and maintaining NetApp storage systems to ensure data integrity, availability, and optimized performance.
  4. Handling critical applications via SAP PlusOne and ensuring seamless integration and performance in cloud environments.
  5. Using Prometheus for system monitoring, proactive issue resolution, and infrastructure health checks.
  6. Escalating and resolving incidents, service requests, and operational issues in accordance with SLAs.
  7. Managing change requests and deployments following best practices in change management, minimizing downtime and disruptions.
  8. Performing capacity planning, system upgrades, and optimization to ensure scalability and efficiency of cloud and virtualized environments.
  9. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to coordinate incident resolution and infrastructure changes, ensuring effective communication throughout the support process.

  • Experience in system administration or IT support, ideally at 3rd level support.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux and/or Windows OS administration.
  • Completed IT-related training (e.g., IT specialist for system integration).
  • Experience with virtualization (e.g., VMware) and scripting languages (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python, Perl) is desirable.
  • Knowledge of OpenStack (Nova, Cinder/Swift) and cloud infrastructure operations.
  • Experience with NetApp storage systems, VMware ESXi, and KVM hypervisors.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes for container orchestration and automation tools like Python and Bash.
  • Willingness to work in shifts (day and evening) and occasional weekend maintenance.
  • Proficiency in German and English, both spoken and written.
  • Structured, independent working style, analytical skills, communication skills, and team spirit.
