Job Description:
Demand Planner (m/f/d) Supply Chain Management
Responsibilities:
- Operate the volume forecasting process to improve customer service levels, reduce working capital, and minimize stock write-offs.
- Generate a demand plan, including statistical forecast baselines, for a 36-month horizon, supporting monthly Demand Review Meetings to make necessary adjustments based on market intelligence, while embedding delivery and process management of Risks & Opportunities.
- Ensure a comprehensive total volume forecast, including new product introductions, competitor activity, and tenders.
- Conduct robust monthly reviews of bottom-up and top-down forecasting processes.
- Collaborate with the supply planning function and within Merz Therapeutics to understand service level requirements.
- Monitor demand forecasting KPIs and drive improvements in forecast accuracy and bias, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Develop demand scenario plans to support stakeholders at market and regional levels in assessing risks and opportunities.
- Support process owners with segmentation, classification, consumption, and replenishment management; propose initiatives to reduce product portfolio complexity.
Qualifications:
- University degree (Master/Bachelor), preferably in economics or logistics.
- Relevant experience in demand management or supply chain planning, preferably in pharma or logistics industries.
- Proficiency in SAP Business Warehouse, Microsoft PowerBI, SAP Analytics Cloud.
- Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and results orientation.
- Ownership, initiative, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English and German.
