Your mission

We are seeking an experienced Legal, Compliance and Risk Manager (m / f / d) to manage and further develop our compliance strategies to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements across our international organization. Additionally, you will oversee our software license agreements and other legal documents in close collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners.

Your responsibilities in compliance, quality management, and GDPR include:

• Act as the primary advisor and sparring partner for the Management / CEO on all compliance-related issues for our German and international entities.
• Manage and coordinate internal quality management, and prepare audit and certification processes (ISO 9001, 27001, GxP) in collaboration with our external QM service provider.
• Ensure GDPR compliance by working with our external data protection officer, and develop policies and processes accordingly.
• Oversee the implementation of the company's ESG strategy and ensure regular reporting of related actions.
• Establish a proactive risk management system to identify, analyze, and mitigate compliance gaps and liability risks.

Legal functions and contract management:

• Coordinate the management of our international software license agreements (SaaS), including implementing contract management tools to improve processes.
• Provide legal and commercial advice to various departments (e.g., Sales, QM, Finance, Software Development) and serve as an interface for legal matters.
• Participate in contract negotiations and other legal document reviews.
• Manage and collaborate with external counsel in Germany and English-speaking countries.
• Identify risks in contracts and legal documents, develop mitigation strategies, and promote a culture of compliance and risk management.

Your profile

• Degree in (Business) Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of professional experience in compliance, quality management, or legal operations, preferably in regulated industries such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical technology.
• Proficiency with quality management systems (ISO or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of IT law, especially software license agreements, and understanding of corporate governance, compliance regulations, and contract management.
• Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills for effective cross-team collaboration.
• Business fluency in German and English, with international work experience.
