Associate Director Paid Marketing DACH (m/f/x)

The Role

As the Associate Director Paid Marketing for the DACH region, you will lead the development, execution, and optimization of our paid advertising strategies to drive customer acquisition, brand visibility, and maximize ROI. This role is critical in scaling our DACH market presence and achieving ambitious growth targets and it requires a blend of strategic thinking, analytical prowess, and hands-on execution.

What you'll do
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive paid advertising strategies tailored to the DACH market, aligning with overall business objectives.
  • Campaign Management: Direct end-to-end campaign execution across channels (Affiliate, Influencer, Print, Direct Sales) via the DACH Marketing team. Provide strategic guidance and collaborate with central teams managing Paid Search, Paid Social, and Display, ensuring performance optimization.
  • Budget Management: Allocate, monitor and manage significant marketing budgets(>20M EUR p.a.) effectively, ensuring optimal spend and maximum ROI.
  • Performance Analysis: Utilize analytics tools to track, report, and analyze campaign performance, deriving actionable insights for future strategies.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including Creative, Analytics, Product Marketing, and Brand to ensure cohesive and effective campaigns.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of marketing professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
  • Innovation: Identify and implement innovative strategies by staying ahead of industry trends and emerging platforms.
What you'll bring
  • Experience: Minimum of 6 years in performance marketing, with a proven track record of managing and optimizing paid advertising campaigns.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in major platforms such as Google Ads, Meta Business Manager, and analytics tools like Google Analytics.
  • Analytical Mindset: Strong ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both German and English.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated experience in leading teams (>10 FTEs) and managing cross-functional projects.
  • Education & Work experience: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field is a must and Master`s degree a plus. Working in fast paced environments (startup, consulting).
