Interim Professor for Accounting (m/f/x)

Your Responsibilities

• Teaching accounting and related courses to business students mainly at Bachelor level, but also in Master programs
• Contributing to research in the field of accounting
• Involvement in governance and committee work as well as institutional development

Our Requirements

• Proven excellence in teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels
• Commitment to high quality, up-to-date research in the field (demonstrated by either at least two peer-reviewed journal publications within the last five years or a doctoral degree obtained within the last three years)
• Relevant work experience in the area accounting or related
• International profile and teaching experience in German and English

All applicants must fulfill the formal requirements for the position of professor in Bavaria including:

• Master degree and doctoral degree in a relevant field
• Professional experience of at least five years, three of which must have been gained outside a university
• Candidates who do not yet fully meet one of the two formal requirements (doctorate, professional experience) may be considered for a junior professorship and can fulfill the missing requirements within a specified period.

The holder of the interim professorship may apply for a regular professorship that is planned to be advertised for 2025.
