Chief Financial Officer – PE-Backed IT Services Business – Frankfurt

€20m Revenue | 40 FTE | Private Equity Environment

Our client is a fast-growing, PE-backed IT services provider headquartered in Frankfurt. With €20 million in revenue and a team of 40 staff, the business is entering its next phase of growth and is seeking a hands-on, operational Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join the leadership team.

The Role

As CFO, you will take full ownership of the finance function, playing a key role in driving operational performance, financial transparency, and strategic decision-making. You will work closely with the CEO and private equity investors to professionalise reporting, improve systems and controls, and support the business through both organic and acquisitive growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead all financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting

Strengthen internal controls, processes, and systems

Manage cash flow and working capital

Serve as a key point of contact for PE investors, auditors, and banks

Build and develop a lean, high-performing finance team

Support operational performance with commercial and financial insight

Profile:

Strong technical finance background

Proven experience in a senior finance role within a PE-backed or high-growth SME environment

Comfortable being hands-on and operational – able to dive into the detail

Experience improving systems, processes, and reporting structures
