Milengo is currently looking for English>French Canadian junior freelance linguists with a penchant for AI technologies to help us in content localization across various domains and industries.

Milengo is one of the world’s Top 100 language service providers, enabling businesses to communicate with customers in over 70 languages. We provide highly scalable, AI-first solutions for the software, hardware, engineering, corporate publishing, chemical manufacturing, and e-learning sectors. Tasks

• Review machine translation-generated content in your target language and post-edit it according to specified guidelines.
• Collaborate with other linguists to implement new AI technologies in content localization.

Requirements

Must have:

• Interest in working with machine translation and large language models.
• Flexibility/Versatility: Support all workflows from the new product framework, be open to testing new workflows and tools, and provide constructive feedback on AI workflows.
• Reliability/Attention to detail: Carefully read and follow guidelines for different workflows to ensure quality.
• Linguistic expertise: Native Canadian French speaker.

Nice to have:

• CAT tools knowledge: General or specific CAT tool knowledge is a plus, but not required.
• MT experience: Prior knowledge of machine translation workflows is helpful but not mandatory. Openness to learning new technologies is valued.
• Proficiency in German is a plus.

Shortlisted candidates will complete a short test to assess linguistic skills, lasting 30 minutes to 1 hour, conducted in memoQ CAT tool or Word, based on preference.
