Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Credit to join our dynamic team in Duesseldorf, Germany. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining cutting-edge software solutions for credit risk assessment and management.

Your key tasks will be as follows:

1. Design, develop, and implement complex software systems for credit risk modeling and analysis
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications
3. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using best practices and design patterns
4. Optimize existing software systems for improved performance and scalability
5. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
6. Troubleshoot and debug issues in production environments
7. Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends in financial software development
8. Mentor junior developers and contribute to the team's technical growth
9. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and security standards in all software solutions

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred
2. 5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in financial services or credit-related software development
3. Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++
4. Extensive experience with credit risk modeling and analysis
5. In-depth knowledge of financial software development and banking processes
6. Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and their application in financial services
7. Strong understanding of database systems and SQL
8. Experience with version control systems, preferably Git
9. Knowledge of Agile methodologies and software development best practices
10. Expertise in credit risk assessment techniques and financial regulations
11. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
12. Strong analytical and organizational abilities
13. Effective communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment
14. Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks efficiently

1. Comprehensive understanding of credit processes, products, and regulations
2. Avaloq Certification
3. Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a particular emphasis on abstract thinking
4. Native or near-native German language proficiency
5. In-depth knowledge of the banking industry, including products and processes
