Our mission is to balance social development with the long-term protection of natural resources.

The Job

We are seeking a scientist in the field of energy economics to join our Department of Economics. The position is to be filled as soon as possible. The focus is on land-use oriented energy economics concerning sustainability transformations, evaluating renewable energy policies, optimizing emerging energy landscapes, and analyzing climate and energy policies, including CDR options. The role involves collecting, systematizing, and applying quantitative and qualitative approaches to support policy recommendations.

Specific Tasks
  • Analyze renewable energy systems, landscapes, and economics of carbon dioxide removal
  • Assess implications for relevant policy developments
  • Develop and design policy briefs
  • Publish results in scientific journals and present at conferences
