WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

As a Senior Product Development Engineer, you will lead the industrialization of product design and development, focusing on innovation and value chain optimization for NAS battery factories. Your responsibilities include:

1. Leading local product development and engineering change control (product development, engineering change management, task force leadership for design-to-cost initiatives, product design problem solving)
2. Driving product industrialization and new product launches to ensure timely market entry, product maturity, and performance (Function, Quality, Cost)
3. Standardizing and optimizing product development processes and engineering change control (CAD - CAE analysis, Product Lifecycle Management, product release and implementation management)
4. Collaborating with suppliers to ensure product design aligns with specifications while leveraging their core competencies to improve Function, Quality, and Cost
5. Supporting product testing and validation to ensure maturity, performance, and safety
6. Fostering cross-functional collaboration with global and local partners on critical topics
7. Supporting organizational growth and motivating junior team members with a positive team spirit

WHAT YOU OFFER

• Degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering
• Relevant work experience in automotive manufacturing, battery manufacturing, or similar industries
• Deep knowledge of product development and industrialization processes
• Ability to deliver tangible, sustainable results in a targeted manner
• Excellent communication skills in English and German; proficiency in Japanese is a plus
• Strong collaboration skills and passion for contributing to sustainable solutions to mitigate climate change
