This role operates on a hybrid working arrangement that will require 3 or 4 days per week in the Berlin campus. This may fluctuate in line with business requirements. Our working model arrangements are a non-contractual benefit so please note that an Arden work location is added to our employment contracts.

The School of Health and Care Management provides our students with a dynamic, forward-thinking education focused on effectively managing health and care services and teams. Our courses, accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), ensure that our students will not only gain current, relevant knowledge but also build essential management and leadership skills that are highly valued in today’s healthcare landscape.

About the Opportunity:

The role of Lecturer in Health and Care Management will be reporting to one of our Senior Lecturers. As a Lecturer, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and dynamic lectures both face-to-face and online for our blended and distance learning students.
  • Take on module leadership, ensuring consistent quality and development of learning materials and schemes of work.
  • Oversee assessment marking, create authentic assessments, and provide high-quality feedback.
  • Lead or support the creation of new programmes and refresh existing ones to align with industry trends and employer requirements.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to provide academic advice and support to students.
  • Drive innovation in teaching methods, student support, and assessment

** You will be expected to go campus 3-4 days a week to suit the student timetable.

About You:

To be successful as a Lecturer in Health and Care Management you must have:

  • MSc or equivalent qualification in a Health or Care related field.
  • Strong background in Finance, Analytics, Epidemiology, with a specific focus on the Health or care sectors.
  • Experience in training or teaching in the Health or Care field is advantageous.
  • AdvanceHE Recognition - FHEA or willing to achieve within 12-18 months.
  • You will be experienced in current and effective teaching, learning and assessment practices in Higher Education, and be able to bring your knowledge and understanding to Arden to grow our programmes and provide excellent student outcomes.
  • You will be able to evidence your successful experience of working in programme teams and of being a creative and inspiring lecturer and colleague.
