Job Description

In embedded systems with multiple microcontroller and/or microprocessor nodes, there are use cases where network nodes are added dynamically and potentially removed again. This occurs during system initialization, production, or during the device's lifecycle, such as replacing or expanding a battery management system. We are seeking a simple plug-and-play mechanism for a control unit as a network node that operates without manual configuration. To update new nodes, necessary changes in the embedded device must also be transmitted to the cloud. The goal is to develop a concept that enables dynamic addition of nodes to an existing update management system of the embedded device.

Your Tasks

• Requirement analysis of the use cases
• Design of a system for dynamically integrating nodes into the update management system
• Prototype implementation based on at least one application example
• Practical evaluation and assessment of the results

Your Profile

• Studying computer science, electrical engineering, or a comparable field
• Good programming skills in C/C++
• Ideally experience with Posix, Linux, and control unit development
• Proficiency in German and English
