- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IC designers, software developers, and system engineers, to ensure seamless integration of radar technology in product designs. Engage with customers, partners, and stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical solutions. Present technical findings and project updates to internal teams and external clients.
- Product Development: Contribute to the full lifecycle of product development, from concept through production, ensuring that radar technologies are effectively integrated. Oversee testing and validation of radar systems to ensure they meet required specifications and performance criteria. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to address any challenges related to the production of radar-enabled semiconductor products.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure all radar technology solutions comply with relevant industry regulations and standards (e.g., FCC, ETSI). Stay updated on emerging regulations and standards related to radar technology and advise on necessary adjustments to designs and processes.
- Mentorship and Training: Mentor junior engineers and provide training to team members on radar technology and related areas. Promote knowledge sharing and continuous learning within the team.
Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field with a focus on radar technology and/or RF systems.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in radar system design, development, and integration within the semiconductor industry. Proven track record in developing radar technology for automotive, defense, or consumer electronics applications. Experience with radar signal processing, including techniques such as FFT, beamforming, and Doppler processing. Hands-on experience with radar hardware, including RF front-ends, antennas, and associated semiconductor components.
- Technical Skills: Deep understanding of radar principles, including wave propagation, signal reflection, and radar cross-section. Proficiency in using simulation tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, HFSS, or CST for radar system modeling and design. Experience with radar system testing and validation, including the use of specialized equipment like vector network analyzers and signal generators. Knowledge of semiconductor fabrication processes and their impact on radar component performance.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and the capability to work on complex, interdisciplinary projects. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-experts. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in automotive radar (e.g., ADAS) or millimeter-wave radar systems or UWB radar
- Familiarity with machine learning techniques as applied to radar signal processing.
- Publications or patents in the field of radar technology.
