Job Description

C&U Europe, a subsidiary of the C&U Group, has been active in the European market since 2012 and opened a Technology Center in Germany at the end of.

For our global R&D team, we are looking for a Design/Development Engineer (m/f/d) for high-speed bearings with immediate effect.

Responsibilities:

1. Be part of the global C&U R&D team focusing on machine tools and bearing applications.
2. Formulate product specifications and methods based on customer requirements.
3. Design and develop bearing products.
4. Create design guidelines and support knowledge management on high-precision bearings within C&U R&D.
5. Plan and implement research and development activities in this field.
6. Analyze and apply product patents.
7. Implement technical training courses related to the product.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or higher in mechanical engineering, machine tool engineering, or related technical disciplines (e.g., automotive).
• Profound experience in bearing design, especially in machine tools or high-speed bearings.
• Multiple years of experience in high-precision, high-speed spindle applications (preferably).
• Strong mechanical design skills, including tribology.
• Experience in high-precision/machine tool bearing manufacturing and testing processes is a plus.
• Proficiency in CAD design tools.
• Proficient with MS Office suite.
• Personality traits: integrity, tenacity, perseverance, empathy, and a positive, can-do attitude.
• Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal); proficiency in German or Chinese is a plus.
