Job Description

Position: Sales Manager (m/f/d) Animal Nutrition - DACH countries (South Germany/Switzerland/Austria)

Area: Sales, Customer Service & Origination

Your Challenge: ADM is seeking a Sales Manager to expand our animal nutrition business in the DACH region. This key role involves maintaining and significantly growing our footprint by offering a broad range of products, including Feed Additives, ingredients, and Premix. The position is based in Germany and reports to the Vice President Sales Europe in Switzerland.

At ADM, we leverage nature to provide global access to nutrition through innovations, a comprehensive portfolio, and a commitment to sustainability. As a leader in human and animal nutrition and agricultural processing, we are equipped to meet diverse needs worldwide, from food and beverages to health and wellness.

Responsibilities:
  • Maximize potential in the animal nutrition business within the DACH region.
  • Manage technical sales and key accounts.
  • Develop and maintain long-term customer relationships.
  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities.
  • Understand our product portfolio.
  • Create and implement sales plans and budgets based on market strategies.
  • Develop a 3-5 year business plan for the region.
  • Provide monthly sales reports, analytics, and insights; optimize go-to-market strategies.
  • Collaborate with product management and development to create customer concepts.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitive activity, and consumer behaviors.
  • Support innovative sales and marketing strategies.
  • Coordinate with other departments such as technical support, logistics, and marketing.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's & Master's degree in Agriculture, Agro Engineering, Veterinary Science, or Business.
  • Knowledge of animal nutrition and technical applications.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in B2B food, dairy, or ingredients sectors.
  • Strong organizational and autonomous work skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a virtual team.
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and capable of working under pressure.
  • Experience in a matrix, cross-cultural organization.
  • Willingness to travel within the region.
  • Fluent in English and German.
