What to Expect

1. Preparation and review of annual financial statements in accordance with HGB and US GAAP.
2. Ensure compliance and controls in line with all internal and external guidelines (SOX, Global Financial Policies, Ethics & Compliance).
3. Interface management and coordination of financial activities to ensure smooth processes with all internal and external shared service centres.
4. Primary point of contact for financial standards, process documentation, and training materials to ensure proper execution of daily operations.
5. Collaborate with ESC on monthly accounting and reporting to U.S. GAAP.
6. Conduct review and approval of cash flow forecasts.
7. Act as a technical expert for the preparation of the HGB financial position and serve as the point of contact for external auditors.
8. Participate in projects either as an individual employee or as a coordinator, depending on Elanco’s pursuits.
9. Work closely with the tax department and external tax consultants to simplify tax submissions.
10. Handle payroll-related accounting, including monthly closing postings and the annual budget planning process.
11. Serve as the point of contact for accounting topics, collaborating with the manufacturing finance team to maintain manufacturing scorecard accuracy.

What We Expect - Technical Capabilities

• Technical/university degree in economics with a focus on finance and accounting.
• Very good knowledge of US-GAAP and HGB.
• Several years of professional experience in finance, with experience in audits desirable.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Proficiency in English and German.
• Willingness to travel minimally.
