Pearse Professionals are supporting a Private Equity investor acquiring a mid-sized a distribution business headquartered in Frankfurt. As part of the value creation plan, they are seeking an experienced Operations Lead to step in post-acquisition and deliver a comprehensive operational transformation across the business.

This individual will act as the operational partner to the CEO and PE team, driving structure, scalability, and operational excellence across all core functions.

Key priorities include :

• Standardising processes across production, warehousing, logistics, and distribution
• Designing and embedding operational KPIs and dashboards to improve visibility and performance management
• Upgrading systems and workflows, with particular focus on supply chain, production planning, and quality assurance
• Leading stock and warehouse optimisation – including layout improvements, inventory accuracy, and process flow
• Conducting cost-to-serve analysis to identify inefficiencies and margin opportunities across products and customers
• Improving supplier management, including rationalising the base and introducing service-level metrics
• Fostering a culture of continuous improvement, leveraging basic Lean or operational excellence principles
• Collaborating with Finance to align operational and financial reporting for better decision-making

Candidate Profile :

• Background in operations leadership within industrials, chemicals, manufacturing, or B2B distribution
• Strong track record of hands-on operational transformation, ideally in founder-led or lower mid-market businesses
• Previous experience working with Private Equity or in a post-acquisition setting is highly desirable
• Comfortable working in low-system, low-structure environments and leading change from the ground up
• Fluent in both German and English
• Able to be on-site in Frankfurt regularly
