Your Role

The opportunity lies in realigning business processes globally to prepare ZEISS Group for the future. The company aims to standardize and harmonize various ERP systems across its global operations during the transition from SAP R/3 to SAP S/4HANA. The focus is on increasing efficiency, effectiveness, speed, flexibility, and compliance. The project is complex and vital for the company's strategic goals.

The Role

ZEISS seeks a passionate Business Expert in S/4HANA Master Data Management (MDM) to manage business requirements and process adaptations. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of master data management processes within an SAP environment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to navigate a fast-paced, complex program.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage regional business requirements and data design within the global SAP S/4HANA template, including local fit-gap analyses.
• Drive the adaptation of end-to-end business processes towards harmonization and standardization, liaising with business experts on preparatory work like data cleansing.
• Guide and steer junior business experts in requirements analysis and process modeling.
• Design and own test cases; conduct functional end-to-end testing in SAP S/4HANA.
• Contribute to regional roll-in projects, mainly within segments, and across SBUs/segments if necessary.
• Assist in creating training materials and support end-user training as needed.

Your Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Informatics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in Master Data Management; more experience is advantageous.
• Deep understanding of master data types, including material and business partner data, and management of variant configuration data.
• Experience in managing business requirements and designing business processes.
• Proficiency with SAP R/3 and SAP S/4HANA, along with relevant third-party systems.
• Industry knowledge relevant to the role.
• Excellent conceptual, results-oriented, and communication skills.
• Ability to build networks and work effectively in intercultural, interdisciplinary global teams.
• Fluent in English and another language.
• Willingness to travel up to 70%, including overnight stays and occasional weekends.
