Job Description:

Do you like Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Generative AI? Do you enjoy solving scientific problems? Are you passionate about creating and deploying deep learning models using cutting-edge technology?

We are currently looking for an Arabic-speaking Data Scientist (m/f/x/d) for our Research team in Valencia (Spain), for a project related to dialogue systems and prompt engineering.

Your work will involve participating in innovative projects across NLP, data science, and generative AI areas such as prompt engineering, text classification, dialogue systems, low-resource NLP, information extraction, psycholinguistic profiling, etc.

You will work on improving company products aligned with customer needs. We also encourage exploring new research ideas and publishing in blogs, forums, reputable research conferences, and journals.

Join us to collaborate with NLP researchers and data scientists with international backgrounds and a record of over 80 research publications.

Your responsibilities include:

• Prompt engineering: writing prompts in Arabic and English for LLMs like GPT, Mixtral, or Llama.
• Developing efficient and scalable data analytics solutions.
• Creating, modifying, and maintaining containerized data analytics applications.
• Supporting colleagues in data science and AI matters.

Your profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, telecommunication technologies, or similar.
• Master’s degree in data science, data analytics, big data, or similar.
• At least 2 years of experience in a data science-related role.
• Fluency in English and Arabic.
• Advanced knowledge of data analytics technologies: prompt engineering, classification model evaluation, data visualization, data science packages (pandas, numpy, scipy, SciKit-Learn, etc.).
• Knowledge of software engineering technologies: git, python.
• Basic knowledge of ssh and Linux terminal.

Preferred skills and experience:

• PhD in relevant fields.
• Over 5 years of experience in data science roles.
• Experience evaluating and ensuring AI model quality.
• Experience with NLP, deep learning, cloud computing, API and web service development (e.g., FastAPI), container orchestration (docker, kubernetes), SQL, and databases.
• Basic knowledge of bash, user interfaces, system architectures, agile methodologies.
• Knowledge of Spanish and/or German is a plus.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure DevOps, tensorflow, pytorch, C, and C++.
