Overview

As a Microsoft Data Center Inventory & Asset Technician (DIAT), you will perform cycle audits, execute incoming/outgoing deliveries, and document inbound and outbound deliveries. This opportunity will allow you to deepen your knowledge of inventory management principles, warranty process management, data bearing device destruction, and advance your career in the process.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma AND 1+ year(s) experience in warehouse/supply chain in an IT environment, inventory management, retail, warehouse management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Ability to meet security screening requirements, including passing the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in warehouse/supply chain in an IT environment, logistics, or operating heavy-load equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jacks) for a large organization, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned tasks, escalate issues during high-volume work or escalation situations.
• Coordinate warranty claims with suppliers, including processing, packaging, shipment, and receipt of return for RMA devices, adhering to SLAs.
• Use process knowledge and judgment to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
• Understand the impact of work when completing tickets and IAM tasks.
• Maintain accurate information within inventory management systems.
• Conduct detailed physical inventory tracking and staging.
• Reconcile and report inventory discrepancies.
• Perform destruction of data-bearing devices following SLAs and policies.
• Notify management of stock shortages and escalate issues.
• Comply with security and data policies.
