The Space Business Area contributes with mission-customized software and hardware products including power systems and star trackers as well as services to support a number of in-orbit pioneering European scientific and Earth observation satellite missions. Additionally, Terma is contracted for the development and delivery of software and hardware systems and services for numerous ongoing and future European, and international missions.

For our customer in the South of Germany, we are seeking an AIT RF engineer to work at the customer site.

Responsibilities

You will work closely with the customer's AIT department. This is a full-time position located at the customer site in South Germany. The requested start of work is mid-March 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter.

Qualifications & Competencies

The successful candidate shall have:

  • A Master’s degree or equivalent qualification in Space System Engineering or related engineering discipline.
  • Extensive (at least 2-3 years) experience in space systems engineering with a focus on space satellite development including AIV/AIT.
  • Knowledge and practice in the application of ESA System Engineer Standards (e.g. ECSS-E-10 series).
  • Knowledge of space missions; knowledge of satellite PFM is considered a bonus.
  • Good command of the English language; German and/or French is a plus but not mandatory.

Specific Qualifications & Competencies for the position:

  • At least 2–3 years of experience in the AIT RF domain.
  • Experience in RF.
  • Good knowledge in UNIX/Linux/Windows usage and Jira tool.
  • Knowledge of SCOS 2000 and the SCOS 2000 MIB ICD is desirable.
  • Knowledge of ECSS, particularly PUS and its tailoring, would be an asset.
  • Ideally experienced in Terma’s CCS-5 and language TOPE.
  • Ability to work in an interdisciplinary and intercultural team.
  • Capability to work autonomously.
  • System and results-oriented.
  • Excellent communication skills.
