Job Responsibilities
Oversee daily transportation operations, including Over-the-road, Dedicated service, and last-mile delivery to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
Communicate with the warehouse team in managing and overseeing all warehouse functions, safety practices, facilities maintenance, and ensuring the smooth operation of all activities.
Monitor Operations KPIs and ensure they are in good shape.
Establish performance goals for the team to ensure required levels of productivity, inventory precision, quality, and organizational objectives.
Develop and execute long-term operational strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
Develop cross-departmental relationships and collaborate closely with SCM, Compliance, Accounting, and other subsidiaries.
Conduct regular team meetings and provide clear communication channels for addressing performance feedback.
Cost Control
Develop and manage the budget, including labor, equipment, supplies, and maintenance costs.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to reduce operational expenses.
Monitor and control operating costs within budgetary constraints.
Conduct and lead regular RFP processes.
Reporting and Data Analysis
Generate regular reports on operations performance, including key performance indicators.
Establish detailed reports on inventory levels, order accuracy, and productivity.
Use data analysis to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
Drive improvement initiatives to enhance logistics efficiency and productivity.
Improve service quality, such as renegotiating vendor contracts, streamlining processes, and implementing efficient resource allocation strategies.
Implement ongoing evaluations and changes aligned with industry best practices and technological advancements for equipment, safety, facilities, and systems.
Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or above is preferred: Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Operation Management.
Proven track record of success in supply chain, transportation, and/or logistics operations, with at least 8 years of managerial experience.
Prior experience in WMS, TMS, ERP, or related systems can be advantageous.
Experience with OSHA compliance.
Experience with Property and Casualty claim management will be a plus.
Valid Driver’s License.
Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
Data Driven.
In-depth knowledge of logistics regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements.
Knowledge of DOT regulation.
FDA, HACCP regulation or food-related compliance.
Bilingual - Korean and English is preferred.
Strong Leadership, Interpersonal, and Communication Skills.
