Our client, a leading company in the field of engineering and maintenance of large-scale technical plants, is seeking a Project Manager (m/f/d) for the Plant Engineering department to strengthen its team in the Recklinghausen district in the north of the Ruhr area.

Responsibilities

1. Professional management of a team of designers and calculation engineers (brownfield planning and piping calculations, etc.)
2. Responsibility for cost control, budget, and project management
3. Participation in technical developments and coordination with specialist departments
4. Development and implementation of technical solutions based on customer specifications
5. Change management
6. Optional: Participation in the training of young specialists (e.g., technical product designer in mechanical and plant engineering, draftsman in structural engineering)

Requirements

• Completed training as a mechanical engineer or a comparable qualification
• If industrial mechanic or plant mechanic, then approximately 5 years of experience as a construction manager or foreman
• Professional experience in brownfield planning and piping calculation
• Several years of professional experience in the chemical or petrochemical industry
• Experience as a project manager in engineering projects is an advantage
• Structured, independent, and solution-oriented approach
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
• Professional and confident communication skills with customers
• Good knowledge of German (written and spoken)
