Job Description:

Company Overview
A Japanese global manufacturing, trading, and investment company in Düsseldorf is seeking an Assistant Accounting Manager (m/f/d).

Job Responsibilities:

• Supervise day-to-day financial and accounting operations within the company.
• Prepare and review monthly, half-year, and year-end closing and reporting of financial information.
• Coordinate and complete year-end audits (both non-consolidated and consolidated), as well as half-year and annual group reporting.
• Handle correspondence with tax authorities regarding inquiries and inspections.
• Improve workflows and procedures, and initiate corrective actions.
• Monitor payments to suppliers.
• Manage payments of salaries, wage taxes, and health insurance.
• Enhance ERP and business intelligence tools.
• Establish and maintain accounting policies and procedures.

Note: Payroll calculation and corporate tax calculation are outsourced.

Job Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience as an accountant; experience as a senior accountant or higher is advantageous.
• Technical and practical knowledge of accounting and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Proficiency in German (C2 level) and English (B2 level or above), business communication skills.
